IOPI Medical
IOPI Medical is a company developed and run by doctors who found a niche market that was not being served. They were able to develop an easy to use, versatile and extremely helpful device for the treatment and measurement of patient’s lip and tongue strength. This device may sound a little unusual but for individuals who have suffered a stroke or other neurological afflictions that affect their ability to swallow and talk, this device is a path to recovery. I worked closely with the President/CEO to develop various graphics for the device itself as well as all the accessories and manuals.
IOPI Operating Manuals
The most important component that I was responsible for developing is the operating manuals for the two different models of the device. I was constantly helping them rework and update beta versions of the manual as testing was performed and tweaks needed to be made to the machine as well as how they explained procedures.
Trade Show Backdrop
The idea for their trade show backdrop was simple, promote the keywords that are most associated with the device and to give a sense of who the patients might be, from the very young to the very old. Since there was to be so much information presented on the tables placed in fron tof the backdrop, they did not want the background to be too busy or information heavy.
ASHA Online Conference Sponsor Spots
IOPI participated in an online conference for the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and they were either granted or purchased a placement in the advertisement spots that cycled on pages throughout the online conference. These slides were developed to demonstrate the benefits and capabilities of the IOPI Medical device, as succinctly as possible. They also wanted to gain more interaction by offering a prize through their Social Media platforms.
IOPI Website Redesign (2012)
When the machine was revamped in 2017 this website was replaced using a DIY solution but at the time of this iteration, I was responsible for the entire redesign and development. Utilizing their brand standards and existing style guidelines I developed a streamlined website that provided as much information as possible, which was considerable, without causing the visitor to become lost. To help navigate the site I implemented anchored navigation options, highlighting sub pages on the vertical navigation bars and implementing a site-wide search function.
