Company Identity & Logo Design
I have always loved helping people bring their identity to the world visually. Interpreting their ideas whether they be well established and simply yet to be fleshed out, or harness their wandering imaginations, focusing it into a cohesive idea, there is often a journey that is as interesting as it is rewarding.
Bold IP
Bold IP is a company based on a network of patent attorneys and business professionals specializing in helping inventors and innovators establish and legally own their ideas
Working directly with the founder, during their inception, I helped them create a series of icons/logos to help identify their three main areas of expertise, Medical, Aerospace and software/digital Intellectual Property. I worked within their desire for a fun “bold” design that would work well along side their established logo that is very playful and utilizes saturated solid colors all in the spirit of the “Bold” concept.
Kumbali Contracting
A family owned business in Lilongwe, Malawi, Kumbali Contracting was looking to update its identity and modernize. This company is very proud of the local roots and has an affinity for the environment and everything that makes the area so special.
The Project Manager, a recent transplant to the great Continent of Africa reached out to have a logo designed that paid homage to the local style and taste, and at the same time incorporate the natural beauty within which they are helping strengthen the human infrastructure.
Arbor Heights Elementary,
Jr. Seahawks
My wife is a teacher and when she was on staff at Arbor Heights in Seattle, she found out they would like to update their mascot and I was happy to oblige!
The image to the right is the previous mascot. There was concern about the composition among much of the staff, it seemed like there was a little too much familiarity between the adult Seahawk and the young Seahawk. Also, they wanted the mascot to reflect the school’s standing as a S.T.E.M. School.
Culture Cafe
The Culture Cafe is a funky and tasty restaurant and bar in the daylight basement of the Kombucha town brewing facility in the Herald Building in Bellingham WA. This eatery provides a nice selection of healthy and locally sourced menu creations. One of the main driving concepts is the organic nature of the food and drink items so the owner wanted that reflected in a simple and clean presentation which I facilitated by the use of a flowing and whimsical type face.
Wild Hogs Cycling Team
I was approached by of of my client contacts to do a personal project. It turns out that he and a few of his friends were very serious cycling enthusiasts and they needed a logo to represent their team in some upcoming events.
